Pressure relieft/sustaining valve

This valve features two core functions: automatic pressure retention and automatic pressure relief upon overpressure. During normal system operation, the valve automatically stabilizes and maintains pressure to sustain the rated working pressure of the pipe network, ensuring stable pressure for downstream water consumption and water supply equipment, and preventing water supply anomalies caused by insufficient water pressure or pressure fluctuations. When excessive pressure and overloading occur in the pipeline due to water hammer, pipe network fluctuations, or pump start-stop impacts, the valve opens rapidly for pressure relief, releasing excess pipeline pressure in a timely manner and eliminating water hammer shocks. This prevents bursting, deformation or damage to pipelines, water pumps, valves, water meters and other equipment from overpressure, effectively safeguarding the safety of the entire water supply system.

Pressure Sustaining & Stabilization (Normal System Pressure)

The hydraulic structure inside the valve automatically maintains the set pressure of the pipe network. When the pipe network pressure drops below the set value, the valve throttles down to preserve the network pressure, stabilize the downstream water supply pressure, avoid

low pressure or drastic pressure fluctuations, and ensure the normal operation of water-consuming and fire-fighting equipment.

Overpressure Relief (Pressure Exceeds Limit)

Overpressure may occur in the pipeline due to pump start-stop operations, water hammer and pipe network disturbances.

Once the pressure exceeds the preset threshold, the valve opens rapidly to discharge the excess pressurized medium from

the pipeline (normally to a drain outlet). When the pressure falls back to a safe level, the valve closes automatically, protecting pipelines and equipment.
