Ductile iron ball valve

Ductile Iron Flanged Ball Valve features two‑piece floating‑ball soft‑seated construction. The valve body is manufactured from QT450‑10 ductile iron, internally and externally coated with epoxy powder for rust and corrosion resistance. Fitted with polished 304 stainless steel ball and PTFE soft seat, it achieves bubble‑tight shut‑off. It delivers quick 90‑degree open‑and‑close action with full‑port design, low flow resistance and easy operation. Its top mounting interface complies with ISO 5211 standard; electric or pneumatic actuators can be directly installed for automated control. It is suitable for on‑off service in pipelines handling tap water, fire‑fighting water, HVAC circulating water, sewage, compressed air and other media.

The ductile iron flanged ball valve is a two‑piece floating‑ball soft‑seated ball valve. Its valve body is made of high‑strength QT450‑10

ductile iron featuring excellent toughness, superior impact and vibration resistance compared with conventional grey cast iron bodies.

Internally and externally coated with blue epoxy resin, the valve delivers corrosion resistance and moisture tolerance, complying with

sanitary‑safety requirements for potable‑water service.

Internally fitted with a mirror‑polished 304 stainless steel ball for outstanding wear and scratch resistance, the valve adopts PTFE soft

seats to provide tight sealing and bubble‑tight shut‑off. Driven by a lever, it performs 90‑degree rotary opening‑and‑closing operations.

The full‑port straight‑through flow passage minimizes media pressure loss and prevents debris accumulation. An anti‑blow‑out safety

stem design improves reliability under high‑pressure working conditions. The top actuator mounting interface conforms to ISO 5211

standard. Worm‑gear, electric or pneumatic actuators can be mounted without modifying the valve body to realize remote automatic

control.

This valve is intended primarily for on‑off isolation service and is not suitable for long‑term throttling regulation. It is widely used in

non‑highly‑corrosive fluid pipelines including municipal water supply & drainage, fire‑protection piping networks, central air‑conditioning

HVAC systems, wastewater treatment and industrial circulating water systems. Nominal Pressure: PN16; Nominal Diameter: DN15‑DN200. Alternative seat materials such as EPDM and NBR are available upon request to adapt to different medium temperatures.

Five Core Advantages of Ductile Iron Flanged Ball Valve

  1. Excellent Comprehensive Mechanical Properties of Valve Body
The valve body is constructed of QT450‑10 ductile iron, featuring high toughness as well as good impact and vibration resistance, superiorto ordinary grey cast iron. Internal and external epoxy powder coating offers anti‑corrosion and anti‑rust performance. It satisfies sanitary‑safety requirements for potable‑water service and adapts to harsh conditions such as buried pipelines and pump outlets.
  2. Tight Sealing with Bubble‑tight Shut‑off
Fitted with mirror‑polished 304 stainless steel ball and PTFE soft seats, the valve provides excellent sealing performance at closed
position and realizes bubble‑tight shut‑off, ensuring reliable isolation of pipeline media.
  3. Fast On‑off Operation and Low Flow Resistance
Full‑open and full‑close can be completed merely by 90‑degree rotation for labor‑saving manual operation. The full‑port straight‑through
flow passage minimizes medium pressure loss, prevents debris accumulation and delivers high pipeline flow efficiency.
  4. Standardized Interface for Easy Automation Upgrade
The top actuator mounting interface complies with ISO 5211 international standard. Worm‑gear, electric or pneumatic actuators can be
directly mounted without any modification to the valve body, allowing easy upgrade to remotely‑controlled automatic valves.
  5. Wide Application Range and Convenient Installation & Maintenance
With flanged connection design, the valve is easy for assembly, disassembly and inspection. Wearing parts including sealing seats can
be replaced separately. It is suitable for multiple non‑highly‑corrosive media such as tap water, fire‑fighting water, HVAC circulating water, sewage and compressed air, with remarkable overall cost‑performance.
