The Y‑type strainer is an essential inline filtration device for piping systems. Its valve body adopts a distinctive Y‑shaped construction and is available in two connection types: flanged and threaded. It is generally installed on the upstream side of equipment such as water
pumps, pressure‑reducing valves, control valves and flow meters. As media flows through the strainer, the screen intercepts solid
contaminants including sediment, rust particles, welding slag and scale. It protects downstream piping equipment from abrasion and clog‑caused damage, ensuring safe and stable operation of the entire fluid system. Valve‑body material options include grey cast iron, ductile
iron, carbon steel and stainless steel. Screens of varying filtration fineness can be selected according to actual working conditions.

Municipal Water Systems: Water supply pipelines, drainage systems and water‑treatment projects for filtration and purification of tap
water and raw water.
Industrial Fluid Pipelines: Widely applied in chemical, petroleum, pharmaceutical and food‑processing industries to filter various
industrial liquid and gaseous media.
HVAC & Building Systems: Central air‑conditioning water circulation, heating pipelines and building water‑supply systems to protect
different types of terminal equipment.
Agricultural Irrigation Projects: Farmland irrigation pipelines and water‑pumping systems to prevent clogging of pipelines and water
pumps.
