Y strainer

This Y type strainer is an essential inline filtration device engineered with a distinctive Y-shaped body structure. It is installed directly within fluid pipelines to mechanically trap solid contaminants such as sediment, rust particles, scale and debris from liquid, gas or steam media.
Featuring an angled screen chamber, it diverts and captures impurities while allowing unrestricted flow of clean media through the pipeline. This valve effectively protects downstream equipment including pumps, control valves, meters and piping fittings from abrasion, clogging and mechanical damage, ensuring the stable and safe operation of the entire fluid system.

The Y‑type strainer is an essential inline filtration device for piping systems. Its valve body adopts a distinctive Y‑shaped construction and is available in two connection types: flanged and threaded. It is generally installed on the upstream side of equipment such as water

pumps, pressure‑reducing valves, control valves and flow meters. As media flows through the strainer, the screen intercepts solid

contaminants including sediment, rust particles, welding slag and scale. It protects downstream piping equipment from abrasion and clog‑caused damage, ensuring safe and stable operation of the entire fluid system. Valve‑body material options include grey cast iron, ductile

iron, carbon steel and stainless steel. Screens of varying filtration fineness can be selected according to actual working conditions.
