Basket strainer

The basket strainer is a straight‑through pipeline filtration device dedicated for high‑flow piping systems with flanged connections. It is mainly installed upstream of equipment such as water pumps, heat exchangers, pressure‑reducing valves and flow meters. Fitted with a bucket‑type filter basket internally, it intercepts solid contaminants including sediment, welding slag, rust particles and granular impurities in the fluid. It protects downstream piping equipment from abrasion, jamming and clogging failures, ensuring stable operation of the entire fluid system. It comes in two structural types: straight‑through basket strainer and offset‑type basket strainer. Valve‑body materials commonly adopted are ductile iron, carbon steel and stainless steel. The filter basket is standard‑equipped with 304/316 stainless steel, and filtration fineness can be selected as‑required.

The filter basket can be taken out for flushing and maintenance simply by opening the top cover. Available in straight‑through and offset‑type versions, it is suitable for medium‑ and large‑diameter pipelines of HVAC, water supply & drainage and chemical circulating water systems, protecting water pumps, meters and heat exchangers.

  • Large dirt‑holding capacity, suitable for high‑flow conditions: The bucket‑shaped filter basket features strong impurity storage

    capacity. Compared with Y‑type strainers, it is not prone to rapid clogging, making it ideal for pipelines with high impurity content.

  • Convenient disassembly and maintenance: The filter basket can be taken out by opening the top end‑cap. There is no need to remove the entire strainer from the pipeline, which saves time and labor for inspection and cleaning.

  • Optional filtration fineness: Stainless‑steel filter baskets are available in multiple mesh sizes to meet filtration requirements for different media such as water and oil products.

  • Reliable flanged connection: Flange joint delivers high pressure‑bearing performance, mostly applied in medium‑ and large‑diameter industrial pipelines.

  • Two structural types for selection: The straight‑through type features aligned center‑lines for inlet and outlet; the offset‑type has a height

    difference between inlet and outlet, adapting to various on‑site pipeline installation layouts.


⚠️ Usage Tips: This is a coarse‑filtration device. Pay attention to fluid flow direction during installation. Open the cover regularly to clean the filter basket. Excessive accumulated impurities will increase the pressure differential across the pipeline.
